Your next session

Deposit, loss and time controls in your account

This block shows which settings sit in your account and the exact moment each one earns its keep.

A budget you decide first
Deposit limits cap how much you can move into the account. Switch one on before your first session, when your budget is still a decision rather than a reaction.
Set it before the first spin
Loss limits stop play once your net losses reach the figure you chose. Set one when you want a bad evening to stay small instead of chasing it.
A nudge at the right time
Session time reminders ping you after the interval you pick, so a quick game does not stretch into a lost afternoon. Turn one on whenever you play with a clock nearby.
Stepping back for a while
Cooling-off periods give you a fixed break from the account without closing it. Choose one when you feel play has crept into hours that belong to something else.
Full lockout of the account
Self-exclusion shuts you out of the account for a stretch you choose. Use it when a short pause no longer feels like enough and you want the decision taken out of the moment.
Changing a limit

How do I set a limit?

No paperwork, no phone call, no explaining yourself: the setting is yours to make inside the account.

Your profile page
Log in with your email address and password and open your profile. Check that you are in your own account and not a duplicate one.
The responsible gambling tab
Look for the responsible gambling tab among your account options. Read what sits there before you change anything, so you know which setting does what.
Match the tool to the worry
Decide whether the session calls for a deposit cap, a loss cap or a time reminder. Each one works on a different part of play, so pick what matches your worry.
Your moment of confirmation
Save and read the confirmation on screen to see the limit now recorded. If the summary does not match what you chose, adjust it before you start playing.

Look at these signs before you chase one more

Seeing these signs early changes very little on its own; acting on them does. A deposit limit or a pause set in your account is the first step, and it costs you nothing but a few minutes today.

If a few of these sound familiar, the account tools are worth setting now.

  • You spend longer than you intended at the account
  • Chasing a loss with a bigger deposit
  • Telling yourself this session will fix the last one
  • Hiding your play from your partner or family
  • Borrowing money to keep playing
  • Losing track of what you have spent this month
  • Feeling flat or restless when you are not playing

A pause, a long stop, and how they differ

Short break, then back. A pause runs for hours or days and is started from the responsible gambling area of your account, where you choose how long it lasts. During that window the account stays closed to play, and it suits a busy week or a habit you want to interrupt early.

Set a stop you cannot undo early. Longer and firmer, a self-exclusion shuts your access to the account for a stretch of months, and it is not lifted partway through. Starting it happens in the same account area; once set, the decision holds until the period you chose has run out.

No national register here. New Zealand keeps no national exclusion register, so the casino account is where you exclude yourself, with the details kept by the operator. If you want a person to talk the decision through, the gambling help line is there around the clock.

When you hesitate

Read this before you set anything

Jackpot Casino keeps every reply tied to the account you actually see, with no detours.

Do the limit controls work the same on my phone?+
Yes. The mobile version opens the same limits section inside your account, so deposit, loss and time caps sit in one place. Shrinking the screen does not remove any of them.
What changes in my account during a short pause?+
A pause, shown as a cooling-off period, locks play on your account for the number of days you pick. Your balance and history stay put while the break runs. When it ends, the account opens again and you can log back in.
How do I shut my account down for good?+
Email [email protected] from the address registered on your account and ask for permanent closure. Support confirms in writing that the account is shut, and a self-exclusion can be added if you want a formal block too.
Can I get advice if a relative gambles too much?+
Yes. Relatives can call the Gambling Helpline Aotearoa, which advises family members as well as players. Free counselling through the Problem Gambling Foundation gives you someone to talk to about the next step.
Can I change a limit after I have set it?+
Yes. Every cap can be edited in the same section of the account where you first set it. The figure you settle on is recorded against your account for future sessions, so choose it while calm rather than after a loss.
Can a self-exclusion be lifted before its period ends?+
No. The block runs for the whole period you chose and is not cut short at your request. New Zealand has no national exclusion register, so the exclusion is held in your casino account.
